The CEO Dr Nabile said the kick start of the competition in Cameroon and in Bamenda to be more precise will concretize 12yrs of underground work and will mark a defining moment where by a most loved & cherished sports known as soccer/football world over, will be use to promote solidarity, unity in diversity and above all peace and tolerance. The primordial & golden reasons for which the concept was introduced and the prime objective the competition seeks to achieve. Reason why 25% of anything that is won by the teams goes to community development.
Teams and players have been signing their contracts and policy agreements. Issues surrounding insurance and licenses are being finalized as well etc.
In the meantime a team is expected to be selected from the various departments of Goldas, to provide training to stakeholders of the game in Nigeria by the end of April as announce by the CEO.
Golden age soccer popularly referred to as GOLDAS is a sports discipline like football though with its own set of rules, regulations and objectives.
It is hoped that the end of the regional championship will mark the beginning of the national championship, African nations cup and while not a world cup for the competition where not just the players referred to as villains stand the chance to make a career out of it, but the spectators themselves in future.
