Many residents gathered around the bridge on Tuesday, June 9, as BUNS workers continued the backfilling process. They shared their views, expressing both their appreciation and the difficulties they had endured during the construction period. By Martial Gnoukapasir Prefectoral Order designating Mbengwiteghenibi a 3rd-class fondom Despite the protests in Mbengwi few days back, one fact remains, that the Senior Divisional Officer for Momo Division, Fouda Etaba Benoit, officially signed the prefectoral order creating the 3rd Class Chiefdom of Mbengwi teghenibi village in Mbengwi Sub Division, North West Region. The administrative decision, officially recognizes Mbengwiteghenibi as a distinct traditional entity within Momo Division. According to the order, the newly created fondom will maintain clearly defined territorial boundaries, separating it administratively from neighboring villages and quarters around Mbengwi. The document also empowers the Divisional Officer for Mbengwi to organize consultation talks aimed at the future designation of a traditional ruler for the new chiefdom.
