FECAFOOT NW: President Mbigha Felix Advance Reasons For Delay In Realizing Ntaafi Proximity Stadium

By Martial Gnoukapasi Mbigha Felix facing the press at the ntaafi proximity stadium site FECAFOOT Northwest President Mbigha Njah Felix, Friday 30th at the project site explained to the press that the fully funded UNDP Proximity Stadium Project awarded 3 months back was to be delivered to football lovers in the region on this December 30th, but because of errors noticed in the contract during realisation, work stopped at some point. " This is one of the first Project UNDP is realising concerning stadiums and some irregularities were noticed in the contract which were not okay for a football field, so we had to revisit the studies and reaward the project which took us about 2 - 3 months..." I stand here to wish you people a happy new year. When i say happy, it's because we deserve to be happy. But if we look at ourselves as Cameroonians especially those from the North West and South West, are we really happy? So many have lost their love ones, we can't live at peace and at ease in our own home towns. So many people have taken refuge in Mbouda, Bafoussam, Douala away from their own home towns and  cannot come home to feel at home. Their properties have been destroyed. North West: Bafut Council adopts FCFA1,18,000,000 budget for 2023

By Martial Gnoukapasi mayor Ngwakongoh Lawrence at budgetary session The adopted budget which is balanced in income and expenditure according to mayor Ngwakongoh Lawrence takes into cognisance the 2019 regulated financial regime of regional and local authorities, with an increase of over FCFA130,000,000 compared to that of 2022. The increase as explained at the budgetary session of Wednesday December 7th by mayor Ngwakongoh, has been influenced by the laudable number of projects highlighted and captured in the annual development plan of 2023 by stakeholders of the municipality during the budget orientation session that held on 22nd of November 2022. The council for 2023 plan to execute the following projects with the adopted budget; - Construction of classrooms - Construction of City Tower and green space -Pavement of roads  -Construction of youth empowerment center. -Completion of the bride linking Nsem and Agyati  -Construction and rehabilitation of water supply projects  -Completion

NYC Elections: Mekom Samuel Taleh elected Northwest bereau president

By Martial Gnoukapasi elected North West youth council president Mekom Samuel Taleh The 26-year-old entrepreneur who hails from Santa won the election unopposed after the file of his competition Tumenta Peter was declared incomplete by the electoral team after scrutiny. 43 delegates made up the electoral college out of which 39 cast their lot on the young entrepreneur. 2 votes were disqualified with 1 empty ballot. In his 5minutes campaign to the delegates drawn from all the seven divisions of the region, Samuel who also happens to be the youngest in the Bamenda city council board, explained that his vision is to empower the youths so they can gain meaningful employment. He said his first plan of action will be to visit the 7 divisions, get the aspirations of the youth and design a plan of action base on the identified needs of the youths.
