SDO Begins Fight Against COVID-19 at Installation of Bamenda1 Mayor
Martial Gnoukapasi arrival of SDO at event ground Upon arrival at the council ground for the installation of Mbigha Njah Felix who takes over the command batton from Caroline Bi Bongwa as mayor of the Bamenda I council area, Mooh Emile Simon, the Senior divisional officer for mezam refused to shake hands with any of the administrative authorities nor the incoming mayor that were on standby awaiting his arrival at the entrance to the council hall. He then went futher to order those who turn out for the installation out of the hall, leaving just the 32 councillors, 2 MC's and two journalists. All these in an effort to ensure that not more than 50 persons were in the council chambers, in keeping with the pre-emptive measures taken by goverment to avert the spread of the coronavirus, with 14 cases recorded already according to the country's health minister Dr Manaouda Malachie.
