Municipal Updates Marks 10 Years, Unveils Plans for New Phase
By David Babiaka Municipal Updates Daily, one of Cameroon’s widely read daily newspapers, will celebrate its 10th anniversary on October 10, 2026, with a ceremony at the National Episcopal Conference in Yaoundé. The anniversary marks a decade-long journey that began in April 2015, when the newspaper was founded in Buea by its Publisher and Editor-in-Chief, Cham Victor Bama. Municipal Updates has since evolved from a modest weekly publication into a daily newspaper. It was relaunched as a biweekly publication in 2020 before attaining daily status in 2022, a significant milestone in Cameroon’s media landscape. Newspaper’s Next Phase According to Cham Victor Bama, the anniversary celebration will also serve as an opportunity to unveil new projects and initiatives that will shape the newspaper’s next phase.
