Nigerian🇳🇬 Community In Bamenda Decry Extortion of Money by Overzealous Cameroonian🇨🇲 Law Enforcement Agents along Mamfe-Ekok Corridor.

The newly elected bureau to coordinate and pilot respectively the people and activities of the Nigerian community in Bamenda, chief town of the north west region of Cameroon has been installed.
Members of the bureau were commission into their functions by the Cunsel general of Nigeria in Buea, his excellency IBRAHIM M. BASHIR with firm instructions for the Nigerian citizens in the town to respect and Commit themselves to the laws and disciplines of their host country.
The diplomat charge with relations between Cameroon and Nigeria in the two English north west and south west regions, at the highly animated and colorful ceremony that took place Sunday July 28th at the Bamenda congress hall, commended the electoral commission for the credible elections conducted on nov. 4th and 11th 2018. He saluted the union for operating a rotational presidency which makes it possible for member states that form the Bamenda chapter to have a taste of executive power irrespective of numerical strength.
A system he confess solves the issue of succession, known to be a stumbling block in other unions as observed throughout his 30 years serving as diplomat in other countries.
He insisted on the need for his fellow country men to maintain a uniform identity, stay away from politics, carry their consular cards (immigration documents) with them always, and work closely with their union.
Speaking earlier, the municipal head of the Bamenda II council area mayor Bailick Awa Fidelis after participating alongside other administrative authorities in the Nigerian tradition of kola nut sharing, enjoined the union exco to work closely with the local authorities in promoting peaceful co-existence between the two countries.

Speaking to the president at the end of the ceremony he said, his immediate plan of action is the erection of a befitting edifice to serve as the Nigerian union hall in Bamenda.
Guests at the event were treated to some Nigerian delicacies and beautiful dance steps that accompanied the Ogene Dance.
