The Head Coach of the Intermediate Lions has disclosed that the city of Douala will be the host of the third pre-selection training camp for his team. Yves Clement Arroga disclosed the new venue as he made public a list of 35 players including five on the waiting list last December 23, 2019.

According to the coach, the Douala expedition will run from the January 6th to 26th, 2019. The country’s economic capital is hosting the third after Yaounde hosted the first and second pre-selection camps.

The disclosure of the new camping venue and the publication of the new list of preselected players came shortly after the second pre-selection training camp from December 9 to 23 grouping 35 players ended in Yaounde.

While speaking to www.fecafoot-officiel.com, the team’s coach described the just ended pre-selection training camp as satisfactory indicating that some substantial talents have been identified so far.

This group was good especially as we combined some of the players we retained from the first camp to some new ones from across the country.. Many of them understood and implemented what I told them and that is a very sign of progress.” Yves Clement Arroga said

Alladoum Kolimba goal keeper for Racing of Bafoussam who made it to the first and second training camps expressed his joy with the trust bestowed on him by the technical staff of the Intermediate Lions. Though he has not been able to make it into the third list, he has remained very hopeful.

It has been a good moment for me. I am happy the coaches could keep me for the second camp. This means a lot to me and the only thing I had in mind was to make it to the third and why not the final list. I am still very hopeful though not being able to make it to the third list. My greatest desire now is to be able to have that opportunity to defend the colours of the country during the CHAN to be played in Cameroon.” The Shot stopper said

The series of training camps is within efforts by the Cameroon Football Federation FECAFOOT and the Technical Staff of the Intermediate Lions to build a team that will represent the nation at the 2020 Total African Nations Championship CHAN Cameroon 2020.
