In reporting the current crisis strangling the anglophone regions of cameroon, most journalists seems to have ignored their role in assisting humanitarian agencies respond to the needs of the suffering masses.

Acknowleding that in every community, journalists should serve as advocates of peace and agents of development, it is therefore safe to say it's their responsibilty in accordance with members of their immediate coummunity, to identify those in need of what type of humanitarian assisitance as well as play a key role in ensuring that these humaniterian packages (aid), gets to those in need without hinderance and in record time.

"Humanitarian aid workers are neither politicians nor judges and are not on the field to support or condemn the actions of state or non state actors. They remain neutral in any conflict situation like the anglophone crisis.

Reason why they must be given the opportunity to access communities in the north west and south west regions with aids such as food, first aid, drugs, portable water phsycho-social support etc, in keeping with their key principle of alleviating human sufferings in the face of any adversity and without threat or attack from either the state or non state actors.
