Interior minister Paul Atanga Nji and North West governor have joined some electorates of Bamenda up station polling centre to cast their vote in consonance with the February 9th parliamentary re-run.

Speaking to the press minister Atanga Nji said voting is a legitimate exercise and any proud cameroonian must be able to step out and fufill this civic responsibility.
"We are voting parliamentarians who'll go and debate and discuss the laws to govern this country in parliament. Upon arrival I was briefed by the governor who indicate that all was in place to ensure that this process goes on hitch free in all the Constituencies to undergo this re-run. The electoral calendar is being respected and via evaluation we understood Elecam had put everything in place. We now expect the governor and his collaborators to make an assessment and update hierarchy of any developments. This is the best way to express democracy. Those who are voting are voting for the construction of the nation, and it's important that we remain republican in performing this civic duty. The ballot boxes will decide the future of the elections and we'll all stand by the verdict"
To note that after the twin elections of February 9th this year, petitions were filed by opposition parties like the Social Democratic Front(SDF) of Ni John Fru Ndi and Lawan Bako's United Democratic party (UDP).
These petitions were heard by the constitutional council in the later days of February before announcing a re-run of the parliamentary elections in some Constituencies of the North West region of Cameroon.
