Covid-19:Deniability Scales Up Transmission In Conflict-Hit NW.

The doctor-patient confidentiality oath forbids medical practitioners from revealing the health status of patients.

The health record(s) of a patient can only be made public by a doctor, nurse or any medical practitional when a patient authorizes for the patient-doctor confidentiality pact to be breached.

Same oath applies for cases of the Covid-19 world over.

When the first case of the virus was announced in the North West region in the month of April this year, inhabitants of the conflict hit zone just like others elsewhere in the country, argued that it was one of government's tool, designed to attract funds into it's coffers from the World Health Organization (W.H.O).

That's just one of the many conspiracy theories you'll get on and offline about Covid-19 in the country till date.

Today the North West region  as of the date of this report has recorded a total of 234 of the over 10,000 cases of the pandemic in the country with 37 deaths.

 Still doubting thomases are of the opinion that coronavirus does not exist in Cameroon.

They put up blind arguments on and off the internet like; 

If the virus did exists in the country, why hasn't the government project images of those suffering from the pandemic?

A question like the one above makes it easier for one to digest the thought that "these" are people without any iota idea of how the medical profession functions, yet they step out most often to argue strongly on a pandemic that continue to claim the lives of thousands on daily basis world over.

"They" also fall within the category of persons who largely disobey the  sanitary regulations put in place by the W.H.O and the government, to guard against the pandemic.

Most often they'll tell you;

Forget about that thing Massa. Shake my hands.
When you refuse, the next question that follows usually is- 

-Are you insinuating I have Corona?,

Such a question easily pricks the conscience but the bigger question is -  does looking out for your health translates automatically to stigma? 

Mnews237 says the answer is NO


The coronavirus (Covid-19) does exists. If it didn't then what is killing the world?

What about Manu Dibango, prophet Frank, barrister Sama Francis, the mayor of Limbe council ?

There are equally arguments here and there assuming that some of these persons were targeted.

- By who, is what Mnews237 still can't say at this time.

And if that's the case, what about the thousands who've died from the pandemic in the continent, other countries like America and in Europe?

Where they targeted by the governments of these countries as well?

Another QUESTION that so desperately begs for an answer.

 COVID-19 IS REAL AND IT'S HERE. 

ITS KILLING US. 

So don't let anyone or anything or theory compromise your health.

Like the head of the Covid-19 response centre once said, 

" With the Covid-19 pandemic, it is good to prevent than to respond to cases"
