Bamenda road works: Owners of trimmed structures to seek authorization before enclosure

The mayor of the bamenda city council Paul Achobong in a release dated March 24th  2021 has instructed all those whose properties have been partially damaged owing to the ongoing rehabilitation of roads within the city of Bamenda, to seek authorization from the council before embarking on any sought of enclosure.

The reason as spelled out in the release he says, "..is to ensure that such works conform to the provisions of the city's approved planning documents and the vision of these projects"

Upon submission of an application seeking the enclosure of trimmed structures, the city council will be the authority to guide owners of such premises on how to proceed in conformity with it's plan of action.

Though mayor Achobong Tembang Paul in the communique appreciated the collaboration of the population in the ongoing road works and extension exercise within the city, assuring them the project will be realize to maximum expectations, he never mention if the application process will require a fee on the part of those whose properties have been affected or not.

It also didn't mentioned who takes responsibility in terms of funding the enclosure process.

Meantime it should be noted that the ongoing reconstruction of the deplorable road network in Bamenda is thanks to collaboration between the government of Cameroon and the world bank with the later pumping in a huge  chunk of required funds.
