Mayor Ngwakongho Lawrence and the member of parliament, addressing students of the two colleges as PSS Mankon now accommodates PSS Bafut following the crisis, said the reason for doing what they, the state and others did after the unfortunate incident, was to ensure that the students continue to study in a calm and Serene atmosphere and be able to produce the result expected of them.

"we've come to encourage you students and to re-emphasize that it's your duty to collaborate with the staff and your teachers to ensure that security within your study environment is guaranteed"

Education is a gift any parent can offer his/her child and if the parents have done their part, then  it becomes incumbent on us to step in and play our part. Reason why we made sure the students regain their dormitory and continue with their studies unperturbed, he added.

Mayor Ngwakongho and Hon. Oliver also  announced a 3 year fully funded scholarship scheme to benefit 10 advance level and 10 ordinary level students from both institutions.
