Meeting today at the Chambers of the North West regional delegation of the economy, planning and regional development, stakeholders of the follow up committee charge with ensuring the proper realisation of projects executed with public funds  in Mezam, evaluated and rate the realisation of projects in Mezam division slightly above 90%.

At the 4th quarter participatory session today Friday January 21st, the divisional delegate for Minepat Evelyn Mawong revealed that of the 117 projects allocated Mezam division for 2021, 90 had been completely executed, 22 ongoing with 5 not yet started.

Tubah council ranked 1st in terms of project execution, followed by Bafut and the city council of Bamenda that also realized their projects at 100% though the city council had just one, which was a 140 million electrification project.

Santa, Bamenda I & II not leaving out Bali councils by the end of 2021 still had pending projects, rating them slightly above 76%, 83%, 91% and 87% respectively.

Why physical realisation stood at over 90%, financial engagement stood at 91.38%.

Accepting insecurity as a hindrance towards realizing certain projects in enclaved areas, the follow-up chairperson wasn't satisfy with the excuse given by those in green areas for not meeting their target, considering PIB projects are meant to benefit and satisfy the aspirations of members of their  immediate localities.

To regain it's place as the 1st in terms of project realisation amongst division in the region, the card holders were told to work in synergy and to follow up contractors to deliver their projects on time.

Members of the follow-up team were also tasked to respect the stipulations of the project logbook this year so to not just deliver in project execution, but to do so in record time.

A duration of two weeks was given for those who haven't finished 2021 projects to do so latest mid February.
