NW FECAFOOT president Mbigha Felix supports participating teams with Cash

The president of FECAFOOT North West Mbigha Felix has donated the sum of fcfa25000 each to teams taking part at the ongoing Bamenda pre-season Solidarity Tournament, taking place at the saint Paul field in Nkwen

While lauding the organizers of the tournament for the spectacular show aimed at preparing teams of the North West region for a competitive 2022 football season in the country, the FECAFOOT boss also stated clearly that the massive turn out at the competition ground is eloquent testimony that North Westerners love football and are ready to support initiatives like this which goes along way to promote the discipline.

"I'm very happy with the organizers of the tournament for helping to prepare our teams ahead of the upcoming football season. I'm confident this is going to be the best season with Eto'o fils at the helm. We're doing our best despite the poor nature of the pitches but I can assure football lovers of this region that we've had a series of meetings with the national president of Fecafoot Samuel Eto'o and in the next one or two months work will start in our region" he said.

With the likes of brilliant performing players like Fai Collins at the level of the national team, he said there was need for the region to maintain it's status as one of those producing talents that are required and ever ready to defend the colours of this nation.

President Mbigha Felix also used this outing at the St Paul field in Nkwen to support the referees as well.

He announced that Fecafoot North West shall jump in to sponsor the encounter from the semi finals of the tournament and shall make available incentives to enable the teams prepare and deliver good football to it's ever growing audience.

Initially the president of the organising committee, Nji Nelson Chefor had announced before the start of the tournament that the games after group stages will see the best teams in Group A & B progressing straight into the finals without a quarter or semi.

Fifth Ref, an association of football lovers with members in and out of the country was announced at the start of the competition as organizers of the competition by the organizing president.
