CPDM @37: Militants Commitment to party in 'slippery Bamenda' saluted by Yang Philemon

Militants and sympathizers of the Cameroon People's Democratic Movement, the CPDM party in the North West region, Bamenda in particular have been saluted for their bravery and courage in executing party activities despite the slippery nature of the region and city rocked by the anglophone conflict for five years and counting.
The permanent regional coordinator of the party for the North West - Yang Philemon at the Bamenda Congress Hall March 24 on the occasion of the party's 37th anniversary celebration said he was proud of the works done by militants within the various ranks of the party in the region.
"We know how complicated it is to work in this region for the moment, reason why I must salute you for the good work, devotion and commitment"
Yang who said the party seeks peace in the North West, a region that witnessed the birth of the party in 1985 and is at the centre of politics in the country, must conquer peace in it's villages, sub-divisions and divisions.
Celebrating 37 years he said was president Paul Biya way of calling on the militants to stand behind his vision and aspirations for the country, reconcile their differences with one another within the ranks of the party, remain discipline and respect the laws governing the party as well as choose wisely in future in order to benefit from the enormous advantages that comes with militating with the party in power.
The permanent regional coordinator decried the ills facing the region like kidnaps for ransom, killings, ghost towns, school boycott etc, which only helps in further sinking the region.
Effective decentralization, the special status and regionalization are all giant steps the government has taken to redress the crisis in the region.
"Constructing a nation is never easy and we must exercise patience" he adds.
He urged militants to remain confident in the presidents constant quest for peace, solidarity and one Cameroon, reminding all that the emergence the country seeks to achieve will be beneficial to all.
He congratulated PWD Bamenda for winning the Cup of Cameroon.
A victory which he says reminds the Northwestners of how intergral they are to the country.
Bamenda he said remains a city of the future in a region of the future.
Other speakers at the 37th anniversary celebration that took place at the maternity where the party was put to birth - the Bamenda Congress Hall included the Section president for Mezam 1B Cletus Anye Matoya, Mrs Nwanah mercy of the Mezam 1A WCPDM and Mekom Samuel who all pledged their support to the head of state for all he was doing in the region especially within this period of conflict.
Mekom Samuel precisely thank the head of state for pardoning and showing a fatherly arms to ex separatist fighters.
The celebrations ended with a motion of support to read by former MP for Menchum and former questor of the national assembly Hon. Nji fidelis.
