Bamenda DDR: More and More ex combatants involved in Livestock, poultry activities

The director of the Centre for disarmament, demobilization and reintegration kum Henry says, together with the ex combatants they're gradually transforming the centre into an active agricultural and livestock production site.

More are more ex-fighters are getting occupied by the day as they cater for these livestock on daily basis.

On Friday July 15th the centre received a consignment of 5000 day old chicks accompanied by 25 bags of feeds from the North West Livestock Development Fund (CDENO), Visad by the ministry of livestock.


In addition to what was already at the centre, 45 piglets, 35 cane rabbits he confessed, has been received from the national coordinator.

At the centre, we could spot the ex fighters catering for their animals. While some were feeding the chicks that are now 1m 1week week older, some were busy in the pig styl feeding and cleaning as well.

In due season, cassava cultivation, beans and maize seed production will kickoff, according to the coordinator



All these to him is gradually enhancing productivity at the centre in favour of it's occupants to whom proceeds of the produce will go to after marketing.
