MIDENO Presents 2023 Report Card to the Media

The annual press conference which has become a laudable habit of the structure took place Thursday December 21st at the epic event centre. The General Manager of MIDENO - Cletus Anye Matoya, speaking to the Media men and women that answered present said "the purpose of this conference is to keep media abreast with the activities of the Authority for the past 12 months, highlighting the major realisations and also the challenges faced in the execution of the planned actions" He said in order to mitigate the consequences of the crisis, characterized with the abandonment of farms in rural areas where the population has been displaced, MIDENO in 2023 continued with it's mission of standing by the farm

Bamenda II Council adopts over 2.1billion as budget for 2024

By Martial Gnoukapasi Mayor Chenwie Peter granting interview Infront of newly acquired truck The budget, voted and adopted by councillors of the said council Thursday December 21st according to mayor Chenwie Peter, has seen an over 20% increase as compared to the 2023 budget. Speaking on the feasibility of the budget and reason for this increase, the mayor said " irrespective of the crisis, i have hard working councillors and through my travels abroad I've been able to sign deals with equipments coming in. We have negotiated funding from partners like Feicom and Minepat which will help us in realizing the low cost housing project, there's Mindevel and also other deals with non governmental organisations that will help us realize the budget and projects" Mayor Chenwie Peter also used the session to lobby for space through the senior divisional officer for Mezam, to permit the council erect stores that will help them raise revenue for projects in the municipality Counci
