The Mezam 1C Section of the Cameroon People's Democratic Movement (CPDM) has validated three Sub-Sections, alongside their respective Branches and Cells, as part of efforts to strengthen the party's grassroots structures in Nkwen.

The exercise took place on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at the Nkwen Fon's Palace, and involved the Ntoh Nkwen, Upper Mambu and Lower Mambu Sub-Sections.

Mezam 1C Section President Che Ndaka Nicholas, presided over the event placed under the patronage of the Paramount Fon of Nkwen, His Royal Highness Fon Azehfor III.

The event brought together party militants, branch executives, and leaders of the Cameroon People's Democratic Movement's women's and youth wings, WCPDM and YCPDM, respectively.

Addressing the gathering, Che Ndaka Nicolas underscored the importance of strong grassroots structures in sustaining the party's political influence and electoral prospects.

He stressed that the Cell, Branch and Sub-Section remain the foundation of the CPDM, adding that strengthening these structures was essential to consolidating the party's presence at the community level.

According to him, the validation exercise was not intended to target or sideline any militants but to renew the party's structures, encourage reconciliation among members and create greater opportunities for youth and women to participate in political activities.

Beyond the validation process, the Section President used the occasion to sensitise militants on the need to prepare for the upcoming Legislative and Municipal elections.

He called for electoral discipline, unity and increased grassroots engagement, particularly through door-to-door campaigns aimed at reaching voters and consolidating the party's support base.

Che Ndaka Nicolas also urged militants to overcome internal divisions and complacency, noting that their numerical strength needed to translate into electoral gains for the party in Nkwen and Nzah.

In response, militants reaffirmed their loyalty to the CPDM and pledged to work towards making Mezam 1C a stronghold for the party in the forthcoming elections.

The Section President further disclosed that the revamping and validation exercise would continue in other Sub-Sections within Mezam 1C in the coming days.

He said the ongoing process forms part of a broader effort to strengthen party structures across the section and ensure that all grassroots organs are actively involved in the party's political activities.

The exercise ended in an atmosphere of unity and renewed commitment, with militants expressing their determination to strengthen internal cohesion and mobilise support for the party ahead of the upcoming electoral contests.
