Bamenda: Old Town Community 'En Fete', Minister Mbayu Felix With Christmas Gifts Again

By donating bags of rice, vegetable oil and other basic food stuffs to help families within the old town community in Bamenda celebrate the festive season, Minister delegate to the minister of external relations in charge of relations with the CommonWealth- Mbayu Felix was only respecting a tradition that he's been upholding for years.


Members of the community Wednesday December 30th 2020 queued up before the family residence of the minister, some with the Sack and Moto bag and others with basins to receive the traditional Christmas and New Year gifts from the 'Father Christmas' as some who turned up for collection rumoured him to be.

Speaking to some of the beneficiaries they acknowledged that with the crisis that has been looming for 4 years, it's been almost impossible to meet up with the expectations of their households this december.

'The 'Christmas gift' will not only help me cut down on costs this period but in the nearest future as well, since it's almost impossible to finish all of what we've received here today within this festive season". a beneficiary said.

This move by minister Mbayu only comes to add to other philanthropic gestures of his.

It should be noted that before the start of the ongoing school year, he donated school materials to the school-going population of the Ntambag community.

A gesture the much celebrated and appreciated elite has been known to embark on every school year.
