Recognition: MTN bags home 'Best Network' Trophy in Cameroon for 2021.

The certification of the Mobile telecommunication giant as the best interms of service delivery to Cameroonians for the year 2021, follows a thorough research conducted by two reputable and renowned world agencies - Rohde & Schwarz, alongside Umlaut which happens to be a subsidiary of Accenture.
The two agencies cast their lots and hand the prize to MTN Network company after covering over 9,000 km of the country's regions, conducting over 69,000 tests on various mobile services including:
- quality of voice calls,
- Online data transfer,
- Video streaming,
- Internet browsing and the publication of content on social handles.
Analysation of the data was done in strict respect of the standards put in place by the International Telecommunication Union.
According to the international agency Rohde & Schwarz " ..the calculation of the overall performance used a fully transparent, harmonised and user- centered measurement methodology which includes the key aspects of mobile communications services"
The test according to the agency indicates that MTN Cameroon has the best performance for both voice calls and internet, hence the certification as best network in the country for 2021.
For the global CEO of Telecommunications of Umlaut Hakan Ekmen the assessment also focused on the quality of mobile internet.
"Within 6 months we collected and analyzed 175 million samples from over 74,000 users, with the test concluding that MTN Cameroon had the best performance in the latency and download speed segments"
Stephen Blewett - Chief executive officer of MTN Cameroon in receiving the recognition and trophy said - we are use to saying our Network is not only unbeatable but also the number one in the country, international standards have proven this assertion. We cover 97% of the population in Cameroon through 2G, 3G, 4G and 4.5G technologies. This achievement is therefore the result of significant and sustainable investments of more than 20 years in equipment, technology and the motivated men and women rendering unforgettable services to Cameroonians"
Umlaut carried their assessment in the country from May - October why Rohde & Schwarz did from the period September to November.
Worthy of note is that MTN Cameroon, certified as the leading operator has pledge to continue investing to improve the quality of it's for each of it's 10million subscribers.
