Elite II football club Rangers FC of Bafut picked up their qualification ticket to the finals of the Bamenda pre-season solidarity tournament, thanks to an impressive play-style born out of team work as observed in all their games so far in the competition.

One amongst the key players and makers which we can confidently say has warm the heart of their audience all through the competition with his brilliant skills  is their shot-stopper by name Shelan Nji.

The netkeeper was also very instrumental in the teams 1-0 victory against pwd of Bamenda at the semi.

He's handled 4 games so far in the competition and has succeeded in picking the ball from his own backyard just once during their first encounter against Hilltop Strikers.

The elite II club goalie denied attackers from division one teams like YOSA and PWD Bamenda from entering his net throughout the competition

Speaking to MNews237 he said " Training for me is very important. What ever I and other teammates and showing the spectators here is the result of hard work and we are assuring them that we'll carry this same spirit to the championship. We'll make them proud and take this team to higher heights. I'm confident we'll take the team to the first division next season because we are good, young and there's team spirit"

Their 1-1 draw with Hilltop Strikers is the only encounter in which he conceded a goal.

In their 2nd outing against Bafmeng United, the goal tender kept a clean sheet as they defeated Bafmeng by 1-0.

He denied YOSA a scoring opportunity in their 0-0 game.

The 1-0 victory recorded against PWD of Bamenda in their semi-final encounter goes a long to prove how determined the lad is in executing his job for the club both in this tournament and the upcoming season.

The team is expected to face nw regional club side Rainbow FC that came from behind to secure a 2-1 win over hilltop strikers at the semi's that were played Wednesday Feb. 16th.

Shelan Nji said his current club treats him well and putting up his best performance is the only way to reciprocate.
