The head of missions at FECAFOOT - Maboang Kesseck was dispatched to the North West region by his immediate boss Samuel Eto'o fils for 2 key reasons.

a) evaluate the sports infrastructures in the region and access if it has what it takes to run the league,

b) ensure teams participating at the divisional league have their offices

c) ensure that the regional federation is running smoothly.

Received in the region by North West fecafoot president mbigha Felix, Maboang kessack began his mission with an in camara meeting targeting football stakeholders in the region.

The over two hours session proceeded with a visit to the Bamenda municipal stadium where he was shown round the sports infrastructure and what was left of it since works on the field was abandoned by prime potomate oweing to a court case 5 years ago.

" My principal reason here is to see the stadium and if something can be done about it in record time. There's also a program to build another stadium away from this Bamenda municipal stadium. I played with other great national team players here 35 years ago and it's sad to see it this way. It's sad to think that Cameroon is a great  football nation and Bamenda which provides most of the key players with 3 teams in elite 1 don't have a stadium. I'm confident after all what I've seen Samuel will do something in the next 5-6 months to Savage the situation"

The president of FECAFOOT NW Mbigha Felix seized the occasion to plead with the Cameroon government to lift the injunction on the field so that something can be done about it.

"Football is a unifying factor, it's a peace maker and there's a case in court about this field. We are really pleading for the government to show to us that special status and lift that injunction. The national president of FECAFOOT is very ready, even to use his personal means to give us a synthetic turf. we have all the materials already. So we plead with the government again and those concern with the case to lift the ban so we can have our teams in the professional league play here'
