Sisterspeak237 Digital Literacy Contest: Winner of March edition known

Sisterspeak237 under it's Digital Literacy Project, has made known the winner of it's Digital Literacy Contest for the month of March.

The 3rd edition has as winner Eyong Taku who submitted a video entry titled "Fake News"

Eyong Taku is a Level 200 pharmaceutical Technology Student of the Gracious Higher Institute of Excellence.

She, just like the winners of the previous two sessions demonstrated an understanding of how to combat fake news, misinformation and Hate speech.

The project lead for Sisterspeak237 in the name of Wanchia Cynthia in a statement reiterated that;

"This Digital Literacy Contest is part of our Digital Literacy Project currently under implementation with funds from the US Embassy in Cameroon. We kicked off by training 46 youths and influencers in the south west region around these concepts.and who at the end took a commitment to use tech for the promotion of peace and truth guided by the following hashtags #Toktrue

The Sisterspeak237 Digital Literacy Contest began in January with spoken word poet Penboy emerging as the maiden winner. While the February edition was won by Ngwa Norah.


The April edition was launched Sunday 24th April and will mark the end of the Contest.
