Understanding that these persons are direct custodians to of the population they govern, Adolph Lele Lafrique expressed beliefs that such is possible, owing to the immediate closeness these persons have with members of the communities they govern.

With the session unfolding within the context of the 2024/25 back-to-school he urged the members who serve as direct representation of the people to secede from reckless calls from misguided individuals' advocating for school boycott and lockdown which going by his words has "..only dampens the spirit of anxious and excited students wanting to join the dynamics of the time through education "

Governor Adolph Lele Lafrique said the excellence recorded by the region in official examinations last year, placing the region high at every layer has only come to shame the detractors.

He used the session to urge all to step up collaboration with the security and armed forces, so as to defeat the "few terrorists" he said are still causing threat to the peace and security that is gradually returning in the region, consolidating that which existed already.

With the launching of Local governance and resilient communities project(PROLOG), by the world bank intended to reduce the rate of poverty in the region which takes into the consideration the aspirations of communities, the governor called on local authorities like the mayors to understand again its intended to deepen the process of effective territorial decentralisation for a resolution of the crisis in the North West and South West regions.

" I thereby draw the attention of those who shall be involved in the execution of the activities PROLOG on the field, to guard against all forms of inappropriate conduct in handling the resources that will be put at their disposal. Mayors are reminded to comply with the order of the ministry of decentralization and local development, bearing on the creation of community or neighborhood committees which are the only recognized channels via which the resources of PROLOG shall get to the communities "  he said
